• You need a universal remote control compatible with your tv brand. Unfortunately Fire tv doesn’t come with numerical pad for tv channels

• You can change the channels with a universal remote - like going to channel 2 or 56. What doesn't work is the . or - | for when you want to go to 2.4 or 56-3.
