• This product has a self-evaporation system which can recycle condensate water of evaporator to condenser. So please don’t worry about the water draining. Unless the product runs at an extremely climate for a long time, it will evaporate condensate water timely. David M. - Insignia Support

• Usually you don't have to very often as it uses that water to cool the compressor. I would open it up and drain it every couple weeks maybe.
