“Manual does not answer these 2 questions: What direction is air flowing through unit? 1. FAN: When the fan mode is on, does this pull the OUTSIDE air IN through the exhaust hose? 2. DRY mode: does this bring in or push out air thu exhaust hose?”

Honestly I haven't used either one of these features yet. But from what I have experienced I don't believe the fan would bring in the air from the outside using exhaust hose. And as for the dry de humidifier I also believe it expels the air from inside which would be damp and outside it goes from exhaust hose.
