“Is it common for this unit to have a gurgle or splashing water sound along with some spittle of water spraying out randomly. I have drained it time and time again and it seems like it fills back up really fast.”

Portable Air Conditioner to produce gurgling or splashing water sounds, and occasionally spray small amounts of water, especially in humid environments. This usually happens because the unit extracts a significant amount of moisture from the air, causing the internal water reservoir to fill up quickly. Although the air conditioner is designed with a self-evaporating system, it may not be able to keep up with high humidity levels, leading to excess water accumulation. Other contributing factors could include a clogged or misaligned drain, or the unit not being placed on a level surface. To minimize these issues, ensure the unit is level, clean the drain and filters regularly, and consider using a continuous drain hose if available.
