  • QuestionWould this work on a power wheels 24v

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Thank you for your inquiry! The Insignia™ 3,000 mA (3A) Universal AC Adapter for High-Output Devices is not suitable for use with a Power Wheels 24V vehicle. The primary issue is a voltage mismatch, as the Power Wheels vehicle requires a 24-volt power source, while the Insignia adapter likely outputs a much lower voltage, often between 5V and 19V, which is insufficient for a 24V system. Additionally, even though the adapter provides 3A of current, the voltage mismatch is a critical factor. Power Wheels 24V vehicles typically require a charger that matches their voltage and amperage specifications exactly. Using an incorrect charger can damage the battery or the vehicle’s electrical system. Therefore, for charging a Power Wheels 24V vehicle, it is essential to use a charger specifically designed for 24V systems, providing the correct voltage and current as specified by the manufacturer. Asked by Tanya.

    • Answer Hi there! It is designed especially for high-power needs, so you can connect a device requiring up to 3,000 mA input. Just select the round-pin connector that fits your power jack from the seven included interchangeable tips. Turn the manual voltage selector knob to pick the voltage that matches your device’s input—with 11 different settings from 3 to 24 volts, you’re sure to find the one you need. An LED indicator conveniently shows which voltage is selected. Plus, the knob is positioned on the back of the adapter to prevent against accidental setting changes once it’s plugged in. An attached 5 ft. cord gives you flexible placement options, so you can easily position your connected device. Insignia Support Angela www.insigniaproducts.com/support
