• I am somewhat confused on the Question. Your TV's HD capabilities do not rely on a cable box. Your TV is either HD 1080 or below 720. You can view HD shows through your cable box, gaming console, Blue-ray player, Roku, Chromcast, etc... If your TV is 1080i or 1080p then you are HD ready. If it is at 720p then you are going to convert all media to the best image that TV can make.

• We are cable box connected but also functions in HD using blu-ray player. To ensure HD connections, contact your TV/Service provider.

• If you have good internet and a HDMI port, FireTV will give you great HD without a cable box.
