How do you change from 720p to 1080p null

On Xfinity remote: Menu, HDMI setup, 1080. NOT sure how other cable providers work this but it changes from the cable system remote

When you buy the TV it's automatically 1080p or 720p. So you can't change it.

Changing the resolution is not a setting you can change in the TV. The resolution is decided by the signal you are feeding into the TV. If you are only getting 720, and want 1080, you will need to change a setting in the source device (cable box, bluray, game console).
