“Can you directly enter a over the air channel number with the remote or do you have to rescan to find a new channel. I will be using this in an RV and it is aggravating to do a scan and then move the antenna and rescan to try to find a different channel.”

One can manually enter the channel number but it will hold only if the channel signal strength is above a threshold set by the tv. If the signal strength is below the threshold, it will revert to the last viewed channel in the scanned list. If the signal strength is above the threshold, the manually entered channel will be added to the scanned list. One can select / unselect channels from the scanned list by pressing MENU on remote and selecting CHANNELS on the Screen and then moving down the displayed list to Add/ Remove channels. The same menu has a Signal Strength selection but it is deactivated.
