A:AnswerYes you can connect a Roku. I also connected a Firestick. This TV was recommended by Consumer Reports and has a great picture. I splurged and bought a small sound bar and the movies sound great. This is a great bedroom TV.
A:AnswerI have not used the 240min sleep timer but if I did I would for the following reasons.
Reverse alarm, wake up when TV goes off
Timer for a smoked meat. Meats done when TV goes off
Babysitter, 4 hours enough time to occupy kids while we go out.
A:AnswerThis TV is not a "Smart-TV". It will not receive programming from an app, such as Netflx, Prime Video, or You Tube unless you are willing to buy somethi9ng like an Amazon Fire-Stick, a Roku, or Apple-TV. It has two HDMI inputs, so you would plug the ancillary streaming device into one of them.
Insignia has an upgraded model at a slightly higher price that is an actual "Smart-TV" with the ability to play apps. They refer to it as a "Fire-TV", which means that it has all of the options that a Fire-Stick has, built into the TV.
I've installed both models and they both have a good picture for a 720P TV, and have so far proven to be reliable for inexpensive TVs.
