Just to rule out any other possibility I'd make sure that the water has been drained from both collection areas... which I'm sure you would have thought of already. Barring that, my assumption would be that the unit needs to be serviced. Just as an example... if the unit were to have lost some or most of its coolant, it could act like this because it could overheat through having to run its compressor too much without effect. If it were mine I'd assume it needs service.
