“Does the timer, once set, work daily? or is it something i have to reset everyday to the desired times i want it in on/off? I am going on vacation and want to make sure it works daily to keep my house cool for my cat.”

By now you probably know the answer if you bought one. The timer is not on a clock that you can set for various times. It is a countdown timer for when the unit shuts off. It works in hours. When the unit is on, you can then set the timer to shut off in a certain number of hours.
