• Yes, Sleep mode turns all the lights completely off and reduces the fan to the slowest speed. So it is 100% dark and pretty quiet. (Of course it's not filtering very much very fast in that mode, so you will probably want to be running it on a higher setting to thoroughly clean the air in your bedroom before you put it in Sleep mode and go to bed.)

• No...the power button continues to blink...the unit when running illuminates a lot of light...I Have gotten usd to it but if you need total darkness in your bedroom this is not f or you...a great unit..performs as expected
