• When you are in the Alexa mode on the TV (using the fire TV remote) scroll down until you see the menu that says inputs. Find the HDMI input that controls your cable or antenna or satellite and choose it with the center button (the one in the middle of the circle). This should take you to the way you usually view TV. Your regular remote should now function.

• I use it with the DIrectTv remote and it works right. Not sure it thats the answer you needed
