“When using Comcast cable we must use two remotes to do basic functions, the tv remote and the Comcast remote, is this correct? Is there a way to make the tv remote handle everything, or vice versa?”

Your Comcast remote should be able to be programmed to operate this TV, so that the 'Power' button turns on BOTH the T.V. and the cable box, the volume control turns up and down the volume on the T.V. and you use the cable channel controls just as you always have. Try going to the Comcast website and getting a manual for your remote. The programming codes for this T.V. should be in that manual.

Depending on the cable service you have there is help prompts on your cable guide. Follow those prompts for assistance on programming your cable remote. Comcast has video tutorials available too.
