“How to block the TV fo smart TV feature i.e. disable connect to wifi etc. Is there a way I can setup a password/security key so that without which the TV can not be programmed to connect to internet? I want to just use for Cable modem for TV channels only”

We have Spectrum. We have to go to HDMI3 with Insignia’s remote and then you can use your cable remote with no smart tv interference. Works perfectly.

Try the Power On feature, when enabled, the TV turns on displaying the last used input. To activate it, go to Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input.
