• Make sure you have the latest firmware version, go Home > Settings > Device & Software > About > Check for System Update. Also, try to download the VLC for Fire app. The USB port supports up to 128 GB.

• I can't give you an exact answer but I do know the USB drives must be formatted. You can do that on your PC. It will help if the drives are 3.0 version instead of 2.0. When plugging mine in it shows an external storage device in my settings and I can also launch concert videos or anything you may have downloaded, off of other drives and watch them. Hope that helps but first and foremost format the USB drives.
