“The home screen on this TV is always Amazon Prime. But I mostly watch Dish. Is there a way to change the homescreen to a HDMI feed? It's really annoying and means you have to use 2 remotes to start the TV everytime.”

Try the Power On feature, when enabled, your TV turns on displaying the last used input: go to Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input.
