Hi Margo, the chair is 32.74 inches wide, but the box is wider. You will need at least 35 inches if you want the chair inside the box. And if still does not fit to your door, remove the chair from the box.

The chair is 32.74 inches wide, but the box is wider--you'll need at least 35 inches if you want the chair inside the box. My doorway wasn't wide enough, so they took it out of the box on my porch.
