• A:Answer I see the official answer from Insignia is Yes but if you are reading this Insignia, did you actually check this EXACT item?? Because I've looked all over the Insignia support pages and MUCH more and I do NOT believe this is true. I called Insignia and they said NO (case number 299479243). For most other items including appliances you can buy an in-home service plan for extended warranty. But there is no option on the massage chair page during purchase for buying an extended warranty. I went into a Best Buy store during slow hours and a knowledgeable associate tried every trick he knew for an hour, and asked the store manager, but NO there is no way to purchase an extended warranty. Furthermore, I contacted extended warranty companies and None of them will sell one, most of them say you must purchase it through the store when you buy the chair. This included Guardian, Upsie, Guardsman. I'm still looking into Asurion, Allstate and Smart Guard, possibly buying it on Amazon. But it seems risky. I even tried calling Osaki / Titan as it looks like they might have made the product (similar to a Titan Pro Acro?), but they had no idea about this and couldn't offer coverage regardless. It's too bad because normally Osaki offers a really good 3 year warranty as standard, and inexpensive extended add-ons to make it 5 years. I would not buy this if it was not heavily discounted as it is at the present at least.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the 2D & 3D versions?

• A:Answer For future reference, Best Buy has a feature that allows you to compare items. I did that in this case and it says that the 3D has 21 pre-set programs and the 2D has 6. Both are zero-gravity. 2D is smaller and it does not require assembly while the 3D does require some assembly. The 3D has a manual mode on the armrest. In order to make your own massage with the 2D you need to use the remote. We are very, very happy with our 3D, by the way.

Q: QuestionDoes anyone have a video or pictures that show how the side panels come off the chair? I need a little extra room for it to fit through the doors and I wanted to take these off and they are plastic so I didn’t want to break them. Thanks for any help!

• A:Answer They absolutely can be removed. Take the back panel off (4 screws). The silver pieces come off the sides like a door panel on a car. Then disconnect the air lines and wiring harness for each side. There are 8 small screws per side underneath the silver panels. Then take 2 larger screws off the front by the foot holds. Lift it out and it comes right off. Super easy.

If you are skilled and brave you can take the 2 sides off then it is 29" wide, but the delivery crew won't touch it, which I get - it is just an unusual item they are not trained on. It's a shame. But I got mine going!
