I would place it outside in a protected space (e.g., in garage, on protected patio), but not in places that get temperature extremes.

Plus you might want to put it up on strong base for ease of moving. Outside elements include critters, cob webs and hosing down areas that can deteriorate the base and electronics. A covered patio, garage or even covered bbq area are best protectors. My neighbor has my old one on a small dolly on her covered backyard patio and uses it for her pool parties and such. It still works great.
