“Will this work to directly connect Samsung smart phone to iPhone or do I need additional adapter?”

• I don't believe this cable will work. This cable has end that would fit your Samsung but the other end of this cable is a mini HDMI. That mini HDMI connector is not comparable with connector for the iPhone. I hope this helps and I could be wrong, but don't think so.

• No it won’t because Apple used a different port. This item is a standard HDMI on one end and the other end connects to a C-Port device. I’m not sure if there is a cord to connect an iPhone to an android but this cord isn’t it.
