Yes the fan is noticeable but I don't seem to mind it as I am usually busy doing other kitchen tasks. In a way it sort of reminds me that I have something on the cook top and not to go off and leave it unattended. Before I got this induction top I was forgetful and the pan would boil over and make such a mess. I don't seem to do that now.

The fan has a sound but it's not so bad. It can slightly mask the sound of boiling water so that I have to walk over and check since I can't hear it but the speed at which this induction burner cooks is well worth the noise bother.

Yes the fan makes noise but I don't find it excessive. Wouldn't recommend if that would bother you. Guess I'm used to fan noise in cooking as on my stove I frequently use one to vent steam and greasy smells. So it doesn't bother me.
