Hi, Theoretically the USB 2.0 standard transfer data average rate is 480 megabits per second (mbps), or 60 megabytes per second (MBps). On the other hand USB 3.0, can handle up to 5gbps over ten times as fast as the 2.0 maximum. Lets put it this way, to transfer a 1 GB file a USB 3.0 will take about 30 seconds and a USB 2.0 will take about 2 minutes. A lot depends on the drive you are using, since different types / manufacturers will operate at different transfer rates. Please keep in mind there is no to adjust the transfer rates.
