“Has anyone experienced a extremely loud buzzing noise that last several minutes before the TV then shuts off itself - which is a good thing because you cannot shut it off when it does that. It’s happened several times so I think I should return it.”

Unfortunately, I bought for use in a spare room so I didn’t use it regularly and thought it was a at one time glitch - is it easily repaired?

Likely Causes Power Supply Board Failure: A sudden screeching sound often comes from "coil whine" or a failing component like a capacitor on the power board. If the board can no longer provide stable voltage, the screen will go black to protect other components. Main Board Glitch: In some cases, a screeching sound can be digital audio feedback caused by a failing main board or a software crash. Backlight Inverter Failure: The screeching can also originate from the inverter that powers the screen's backlights. If this component fails, you may still have sound but no visible picture. This just happened to me. Only 6-7 hours of total lifetime use.
