Hi. This remote controls the tv, I don’t think you can use the xfinity remote with the tv because it won’t provide all of the functions that the main remote does but you can try.

I have the same setup and use the Comcast remote to operate the cable stations/apps through a HDMI connection. The apps I use are redundant between Comcast and Fire TV. You could also just use the Fire tv remote and access Comcast via the xfinity app.
