Most cable boxes will have an HDMI port, so you would connect an HDMI cord from the box to your tv to receive cable channels. To get local channels, just plug the coaxial cable from the antenna into the back of the tv where you typically would plug the cable wire.

I didn’t have much luck trying to use an antenna versus my high speed internet cable and an internal WiFi in the modem. I’m buying a Motorola router today at Office Depot for less than 45.00 which is recommended for Roku tv connections. I have spectrum cable for my internet and I use the spectrum app for local tv and get additional channels as part of the app. So glad I cut the cord using roku. My cable bill dropped by 70.00 per month.
