“my input will be a coaxial cable feed so i won't get 4k but i can get up to 720p with this TV right? Anything i need to do special for that congiguraiton?”

I have an over the air antenna plugged in through coax. Several of my local stations are broadcast in 1080, the TV let's you know what the definition of the signal is. You don't have to do anything special as far as configuration goes. The TV will display in the definition being broadcast to it.
