This TV was designed for home use. The TV should not turn off as long as a video signal is playing on the screen. You can connect a computer to the TV using an HDMI cable. You can use the Alexa command "Turn Off Fire TV". The TV by default will turn on displaying the Home Screen. David M. - Insignia Support
