“I'm having same issue. After delivery of the freezer we waited until next day to plug in the unit. The day after this we discovered that the top door is frozen shut. Cannot open it unless we turn off the unit and allow if to return to room temperature.”

Suggest after defrosting the freezer wipe down & dry the door & freezer opening. Do not place the freezer in a humid area. You may try starting the freezer at a very low setting & gradually move the setting up.
