“What are the two small pieces of plastic that come with this unit?”

• I believe they are just used to secure the lid during shipping. Keeps the lid from compressing the seal and rubbing against the main unit.

• Zach, Nothing in the paperwork explains what they are for and Best buy salespeople could not explain either. So I took them as shipping items and threw mine away. I have had the freezer for two months now and operate just fine with out them. Keeping a -2 degree temp half full with deer meat and I am very satisfied.*****
