“Is the front and side of the chest suppose to get real hot it never happenend before i defrosted it plugged it back up put food in it and the next day i noticed how hot it was food is still frozen though”

• I have this problem as well. Compressor seems to always be running and the exterior seems to be warm on both the front and rear of the freezer. Stuff stays frozen though. Lemon?

• Have not had this problem. I have the freezer in a well insulated garage that does not get very hot in the daytime. Perhaps you should check the location of your freezer for excessive heat.

• It uses the exterior as a way to cool the interior. Mine never got more than slightly warm. Perhaps, the interior or the contents you put in it were warmer than mine. I let mine cool a bit before I put anything in it.
