- Answer Hello, The method of transporting it, it should be just fine if you transport it laid down. Just remember that for it to function properly, it is recommended that you let it sit upright for approximately 24 hours before plugging it in for use. Grace - Insignia Support

- Answer If you mean before start using the freezer, It is recommended to leave the freezer standing for 30 minutes before connecting it to the power outlet, we also recommend to leave the freezer running for 2-3 hours before putting anything inside of it. Ruben- Insignia support

- Answer It needs to be upright the same number of hours it was laying on its side before plugging it in. The other answer is an even safer method with 24 to 48 hours upright before plugging in. I had this question because I can't transport it without putting it on its side. Thank God for Google.
