I couldn't twist the tower into the socket until I loosened the 4 screws under the chrome ring - then I could push down on the tower enough to engage it and twist into place, while pushing up from inside the refrigerator, then I re - tightened the screws and screwed in the white ring from underneath and it is very solid.

I removed the white plastic nut on the inside and pushed the black adapter up through the bottom and attached the tower. Then I tightened the white nut back down and it made the tower nice and solid. Hope this helps!

Overall, I like the kegerator: temp holds, quite, looks great. The sole issue I have is with the single-tap's Draft Arm Assembly. My uncle recently purchased the NS-BK2TSS6 ---- identical, except for one MAJOR DIFFERENCE (outside the obvious 2 vs. 1 tap): the Draft Arm Assembly on the double-tap model has a mount on the bottom of the draft arm that 4 screws pass through (also why the gasket for the double-tap differs). I called the Insignia support center today...asked if there were any recommendations, or alternative to me returning the whole unit...unfortunately not. So, I definitely share in your disappointment....boils down to an inferior draft arm assembly on the single-tap model ruining an otherwise decent piece of equipment. Very disappointing. If anyone has found a way to reinforce the Draft Arm Assembly on the Single Tap unit, please let me know. I'm planning on returning my unit this weekend...and it's Monday...so I only have a few day to figure it out, before giving up on the whole thing.

I had to take the draft arm (lower assembly) apart (remove the screws) to figure it out. On the top, there is a slip connection. If you push from the inside of the fridge while pushing down on the draft arm, the notches will slide into place. If you follow the instructions, you can twist to the right 60 degrees are hard as you want. It will not move since the notches hit. Yes the arm will move left to right, but most of the time, you are pouring beer. IE, pulling forward on the arm. This took me about 20 minutes to figure this out since the instructions are so bad. Other than that, I am happy with the kegerator. It was better than buying a mini-fridge and convertor kit. I can not wait to tap my first keg. Here are some things I am going to add to the system: analog thermometer to tell how cold the fridge is, a led light strip so that I can see inside and maybe a fan for the draft arm. Right now, the arm seems to be pretty insulated. If I pour a tiny glass of beer and it is not cold at the top, I will have a fan direct air up into the arm. In short, listen to my instructions to save you a half and hour of swearing. Sincerely John
