Q: QuestionCan you take off the draft tower and install a new one with multiple faucets? I am a homebrewer and can fit 3 korny kegs inside. If so, what size would I need to buy to fit?

• A:Answer The single tap tower is a twist lock, but underneath it has 4 threaded holes for what seems like a standard 3" tower. I bought a 2 tap Kegco tower and even the screws it came with fit the thread. I used the Kegco DT2F-630SS. You can put the CO2 tank on the back with a mounting bracket for the exterior and feed the line through a hole that is plugged. I'm not sure if it would fit 3 korny kegs, but two sixtels fit without any problem.

• A:Answer The tank can be mounted either externally or internally. The only issue with mounting externally on the back is that it will stick out even farther from a wall. The provided bracket simply goes on the back and there is a hole pre-drilled in the back of the unit to run the pressure line in.

Q: QuestionIn items description on Best Buy.com, it says this product will not hold Miller or Coors Kegs. Is this an accurate statement? Why?

• A:Answer Miller-Coors uses a few styles of kegs, one of them is wider than a “standard” 15.5 gallon keg, so the door simply doesn’t close. If you look at the picture I included, the one on the left is too wide, the one on the right works just fine. Blue moon is made by them, so you might run into the same problem if you try to get a 1/2 bbl from them, so just keep it in mind when you buy a keg, they have either style of keg available generally

• A:Answer Sorry - this unit is not intended to be installed within a cabinet or under a counter. The condenser unit is mounted on the rear and needs some room for air circulation. If planning to install under a cabinet, be sure to purchase a unit where the air circulation comes from the front, not the rear. Units like this will usually cost in the $1100 range

• A:Answer I was also confused on this, and had not done any research. Interestingly enough I thought anything could fit in here so I bought Miller Lite as my first test beer. I wanted to spend 1/2 the price on my first 1/2 keg rather than double the price especially if there was a mistake or problem. Shame on me for not reading further, however I brought the keg home and it fit perfectly. You just need to make sure that the keg is not barrel shaped and it is a 1/2 keg, and it will fit perfectly. Please see the attached picture. Owning a Kegerator has been an amazing and completely different beer drinking experience. Because it’s consistent and cold. A few small points to anyone buying there first kegerator l. 1.) Find a local brewery or company that can fill your 5lb C02 tank a day or so in advance. 2.) cool your kegerator down for 2 days or 48 hours to insure it’s getting cold. 3.) Do not buy a keg of beer the day of use. It’s not going to happen, it’s like shaking a giant can of beer or soda, nothing but foam comes out. The beer keg needs to settle and get to temperature, or you’ll just poor foam. Hope this helps anyone.

Q: QuestionCan anyone confirm if it's just the Miller lite rubberized 1/2 kegs that doesn't fit or is it both the rubberized and regular aluminum barrels also.

• A:Answer Miller-Coors uses a couple of styles of 15.5 gallon kegs. The standard 15.5 gallon keg fits, but they have one that is designed to look like a wooden barrel that is too wide for this kegerator. I found a pretty low quality picture so you can take a look, the one on the left doesn’t fit, the one on the right fits. Blue Moon is made by them, so you might run into the same problem if you get a jeg if that, but you can usually find the standard kegs, just keep it in mind.
