Nitrogen will give the beer a creamier head where as CO2 is just a standard carbonation so it is just a matter of what you like. You will need a separate tank and regulator if you want to use nitrogen. I do not see any reason why you cannot have both. Keep the nitrogen on the back of the unit and keep the CO2 inside on the shelf, this way you can still have two different types of beer.
