Not on mine. The seal is fine. In fact, I have to brace my left hand against the top edge of the freeze to open the door, or the freezer wants to tilt forward when I pull on the door. I read where some people weren't pleased with their unit, but mine has run fine from the get go. Seal is great. I set it to the midway point for cooling and let it get cold for twenty-four hours before I put food in it. Everything is as it should be for now. I have only had the unit a couple of weeks but so far I am pleased with it. I would call Best Buy about the damaged seal. If you just got the freezer it should still be under warranty and they should send someone out to put a new rubber seal on it.
