      Answer

The box can be laid any way for transportation. Just be sure to sit it upright for a few hours once you get it home before plugging it in.

If it's not frost free....   (6 Answers)

What do you need to do to defrost it? How often?

      Answer

You just empty and turn off as needed to defrost. Being out east you have higher humidity and during the summer will likely get frost. Packing a cooler tightly with frozen food while it thaws is easy. Frost free models actually raise the temp several times over 24 hours to thaw any frost, this contributes to freezer burn and quality issues. If you use this as back up storage you don't open as much causing frost, mines in the garage.

Does this have wheels for easy mobility, similar to its near identical cousin, Kenmore Model # 20602?   (6 Answers)

Hi, Does this have wheels for easy mobility, similar to the product description for its 5.8 cubic ft. upright cousin, the Kenmore Model # 20602? In the zoomed in photos on Best Buy’s and Sears’ websites respectively, their feet/wheels look identical. The Kenmore model says, “easy-rolling wheels which allow you to move it with minimal effort, especially in homes with limited space” and “Get Ready to Roll. Whether you're rearranging the kitchen, giving the house a deep clean, or looking for lost keys, easy rolling wheels make this refrigerator simple to move.” Since the zoomed in photos of the two freezers’ wheels look exactly the same, and since they are seemingly identical in most other ways (exact same width, depth, and height too) I was wondering: does this Insignia model seem to also have similar easy mobility? Thanks a lot.

What are the measured spaces between shelves?   (3 Answers)

I saw the shelf themselves measure 13 x 15 or 16 inches. Just wondering if anyone could tell me the measured space between each of the shelves? In other words the "height" of the storage spaces on each shelf.

Do I need a special outlet for this freezer?   (5 Answers)

My big freezer is acting crazy after only 7 years. I want to get a new smaller one to keep in the garage. Can I plug this one in an outlet in the garage as long as it is not on the same line with the washer? My old freezer was 13 cubic ft + -, kept in a pantry, the electrician made a big deal about hooking it up and a special plug. I should have paid more attention... Can I plug it in where the big one was? And, how long is the cord?

I ran an extension cord from a regular outlet (use at least a medium duty cord) to a regular outlet and it works fine.
