QuestionHave any of you used an external alarm with a probe in this freezer? I'd like to use one, but I've read the wire of the probe going in over the door causes a build-up of frost in the freezer.

QuestionI just got this freezer and have only one place for it. The instruction booklet says you need 7.9 inches on both sides for adequate ventilation. Don't you think a couple inches on each side would be enough if there is adequate space in back and over it?

- Answer The space my freezer is in has approx 4" on each side. I've also had the freezer for 1 month and have no frost yet. Like you, I have adequate space behind and above. Hoping for the best!! Good luck to you.

QuestionHas anyone tried to reverse the swing on the door? I tried to do it and could not undo the bolt on the bottom hinge plate, just swapped it for another one and having the same problem with this one.

- Answer We switched or door. It went relatively smoothly, although the instructions weren't the best. We didn't have any problem with the bolts.

Questionare the shelves adjustable? Can it hold a 25lb turkey?

- Answer The shelves do not adjust in most upright freezers. The shelves are cooling lines and can not be removed or adjusted. In this model the shelves are about 15 X 15" with a height between shelves being about 9" except for the top shelf being shorter. I don't think you could get a 25lb turkey in it.
