The TV itself is an Alexa with the voice button being the trigger to activate Alexa. Keep in mind the TV needs wifi to use Alexa though or report to Amazon servers so if you keep the TV off of wifi it shouldn't be able to record you or anything like that. I also have Xfinity X1 and the voice remote function for that only works when your TV is on the Xfinity HDMI port signal and not on the Fire TV home screen. Keep in mind the X1 and the TV don't share wifi unless you manually add both to the same network so as long as your X1 box is connected to internet and the TV isn't you should be able to use all your Xfinity apps without worrying about companies listening in on you 24/7 for advertising purposes.
