A:Answer Bill,
Just a word of advice. Get rid of your Echo and turn off the features on your TV. You are an easy target for any of the kids in grade school who like to hack for fun, let alone the nefarious state sponsored intelligence hackers listening in, plus the TV manufacturers themselves and Amazon who are data mining the heck out of every keystroke and input by you and your family while using/ not using (still listening in on you). This is not unfounded paranoia or conspiracy stuff. There are countless articles on this stuff regarding metadata, datamining, and privacy exploit through smart devices and cameras. Which is to say turn off your cameras (Computer/Laptop/Nanny-cam/Webcam/Pet-cam) unless you are using them and cover or turn them off when not in use. This as well as the microphones often used with these same devices. The ease at which Americans give up sensitive and personal information is astounding. All that personal information WILL impact your privacy and security directly. Don't wait to be compromised, or for your information to be sold on the market to advertising companies, or worse to those without your best interests at heart. The value of and ease of use that an Echo or other smart speaker devices/receivers/speakers is not worth your privacy and the exposure to those, again, who do not have you and your family's safety, security, and best interests in mind.
