They say that 30 pint dehumidifiers are good for up to 1500 square feet. I would say that that this unit easily handles my large master bath, master closet, and master bedroom. It may be enough for the whole house (2100 sq ft) but I would have to centrally locate it. I keep this in the master bath where we have had excessive humidity issues. Works great. 50 pints is the daily rating, not to be confused with the bucket capacity which I believe is a gallon and a half.
