“Compressor doesn't start up. I bought this and have used one season. This summer it runs (fan) and I got nothing, so I unplugged and set aside and tried a few other times and same thing. Very odd. Did the compressor go bad? For the cost, only 1 season?”

I had the same experience. I could only use it for a few months before the compressor stopped Thai summer :-(. It was a piece of junk that I bought :-(
