Mine started doing the same thing. I feel that these are just not quality products. I have added a large fan blowing on it, with ample clearances and room temps are +20 celcius. Still full of ice. I bought another brand dehumidifier, hopefully it doesnt do the same thing. I got 3 years out of it. What a waste.

It's possibly a failed temperature sensor that shuts off the compressor and keeps the fan running to melt frost buildup - or the electronics. Time to replace it. No one seems willing to repair these dehumidifiers (regardless of brand). Mine did the same thing during warranty and built up a mound of ice on the back before I discovered it. Best Buy replaced it since it was under warranty.

If you feel little or no air coming through the grille area and the filter is clean, then remove the cover and check the fan area.
