“The dehumidifier makes a weird noise and cycles through this noise (maybe compressor) and won't turn off unless unplugged. How do I fix this? Produces hot air during this cycling.”

• Unit was less than a year old. Insignia is a Best Buy name brand, so they took it back without an extended warranty.. Long story short, the unit is garbage when it starts doing this.

• I had one of these, which ran great for about 3 years then started doing similar things. Check to see if you have ice buildup on the back cooling coils. If so, time to get a new unit.
