No. You have to connect via WiFi. I was also worried about this, because my Vizio TV was connected via Ethernet, even though I have WiFi in our house. I figured a hard connection is better. Even though this TV uses WiFi it runs much faster and smoother than our Vizio did. It must have a faster wireless router built in. If you have WiFi trust me this TV runs super snappy over WiFi with no lag. I highly recommend this TV. Hope that helps, -Eric
