Recently my husband and I visited BestBuy determined to buy a TV for our master bedroom, we wanted a different tv that was not in stock but the young man who greeted us recommended us this one and we are pleased with it because it is a smart tv! We do not have to connect our Mac anymore to use Netflix or watch a movie, we love that we can see live TV with TWC app and not have to pay for an extra cable box, has good colors and perfect sound, it is lightweight and super easy to install and set, what more can we ask if it is more than we expected ? We are very happy with our new tv.

This tv is friggin awesome! It does everything you need with a super easy remote control, which is crafted in the perfect size for any hands to use. You can customize your inputs, see live video feed when just hovering over the inputs, get any streaming service app you want, and it has amazing sound just by itself. I'm overly satisfied with this purchase. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a larger smart tv at a great price. Also I'm a long time techie person and I have years of experience working in the tech field. Believe me when I say this is definitely a steal at the price that's listed. I expected it to be a 1200$ tv when I first laid eyes on it. As always, I recommend seeing it in person yourself before making a decision. You'll be glad you did!

TV is awesome and easy to use. The best part was getting a 2 year Geek Squad Protection Plan, the TV, and taxes for $600. $50 a month? Take my money!

This is my 3rd insignia tv. We out son one first 3 years ago. When insignia teamed up with roku, we knew it would be a great product. Picture quality is very good. This was for the kids playroom. So we needed for the tv to hook up Nintendo and PlayStation. It also needed to be able to play YouTube and Netflix. Its actually the tv we watch most movies on.

SUMMARY: I say if you don't want to spend a lot and want a good tv, this is a good brand and good choice. It's also a great product if you like buying new tvs every "so-many "years to have the latest technology. If you have more money to spend, or if having the best picture quality offered out there is more important to you, then consider a premium brand like Sony. - Nice upgrade to my previous smaller Insigina which was not Smart. - Great picture quality and completely happy when I bought the tv. Even received compliments on the picture - I have owned two Insignias and 1 Dynex TV - finding them reliable and good quality. I tend to buy Best Buy brands. I am loyal that way. - This tv, however, lasted only <3.5 years but NOTE: with heavy use - same use as the previous non-SMART Insignia. Bought this tv in mid-April 2016. It stopped working yesterday (11 Sept). Was watching tv and all of a sudden it went dark. After numerous troubleshooting steps (unplugging power and cables, resetting/rebooting) determined it needs new parts, but feel not worth it and good excuse to get a new and better tv. By heavy use, I mean it was on A LOT. my husband would often leave it on all day, even when leaving the house for a few hours. It's the main tv for the two of us (no kids). I'd say on average it was on 4 hours a day unless we were on vacation. - worked very well with Optimum boxes, but then had connection problems with Altice box. After a lot of troubleshooting, ended up changing ARC connection to audio cable. I can only presume tv is outdated for the newer technology. - used a yamaha sound bar successfully - If you want to buy Roku external speakers, you can only use the Roku speakers with a Roku tv. For me that's a negative.

The Roku interface is very easy to get around in for TV and device control. We cut the cord and this TV is perfect for watching Netflix and streaming. Tuner for free broadcast channels is not as strong as our older Vizio TV, it doesn't bring in as strong a signal. I do wish it had a guide for TV shows on broadcast, you would think that would be a no brainer for an smart TV. I have noticed a strong backlight bleed in the lower center of the screen when display is black. Remote is great, we have the soundbar connected to the headphone jack so we can control the volume through remote. Since the remote is so small a "find my remote" feature would be nice to have. The picture is very vivid and color looks great with preset settings. Even has presets for audio. My family really enjoys this TV and I did a lot of research before deciding on buying this one.

Built in Roku works flawlessly with imaging various formats. This TV is a super bargain for anyone wanting a beautiful large screen. Don't get hung up on the latest TVs being pushed that are "future programming ready." This TV will work flawlessly for the next 10 years. If you need a TV that can accurately show you double pixel intensity that doesn't yet exist in 97% of programming, good for you and your excessive disposable income. Someone's gotta buy those big bad boys. Just like someone's gotta buy Bentleys and Rolexes. But at the end of the day, it's just a car, it's just a watch, and it's just a TV ": ^ )

If there's one thing Best Buy seems to have really gotten right, its their Insignia TVs. This is my third Insignia TV (my first was a Plasma I bought back in 2009 that is still going strong!) and I am once again not disappointed. Super easy to attach the stand and set up. Awesome picture. The Roku interface is very easy to configure and customize. Also liked the small, simplified remote that only has the buttons you actually use! Very happy with my purchase, glad I waited for this TV to become available.

I bought this TV to replace one that I have had for seven years. The price was right so I figured I'd give it a shot. It is light-weight and easy to set up. The picture quality is very good, as is the sound. I don't do too much with it except watch TV (no gaming) so for that it is a great deal for the price.

Out of the box the picture looked very good. I made some adjustments to my liking. The remote is bare bones. But I have a universal remote that will do all the functions so no big deal to me. The Roku is a great thing to have. We have cut the cord because of it. The only issue I had was getting the wifi to connect, but once I did I have had no problems staying connected.

So I got this TV as a replacement from a TV I had owned for about 8 months. It was a 49 inch LG TV with almost all the same features. I paid about 60 bucks more for the so called upgrade. It was a replacement under the warranty. Anyways. The TV could be better and even though the LG tv was cheaper, smaller, and had a software issue which made it break. It still was a better TV as far as picture quality. Biggest concerna was that the backs aren't true blacks. They are grayed a bit. And the 60 hz refresh rate is not a good idea if you like fast paced movies it will slightly blur the picture. On a posture note. It is a lot of TV for the price. The speakers are louder than my previous and sound decent for a flat screen tv. Decent picture quality, especially on normal tv sitcoms etc. I should have at least gotten one with 120 hz refresh rate. That's my biggest regret with this tv. But massive screen perfect for any room. Cool smart features which are really nice. And roku tv apps and remote. I didn't like the remote much at first but I'm getting used to it. I hate how theirs only a few buttons to do everything. But I can buy a new remote for that. Overall I'd recommend, but only if you're not looking to have the best home theater system. It's good for the price and a decent solid tv. Also I stand behind thus brand. Always loved the Insignias.

I was looking for a 50 inch or larger tv and i caught this one on sale. Researched smart tvs and figured this would fulfill two needs: size and value. Has preloaded apps like Netflix, hulu, Google play movies and more. The super bowl looks good on a 55 inch or larger. Ijs.

Great picture, built in roku. Yes there is a God, and he gave me his tv. Streaming media directly to the TV is the best thing ever for any technical savvy guy. But this thing just makes it ridiculously easy. Everything is graphically based, and can even be controlled with my phone. 5 stars all the way.

I honestly always buy known brands when it comes to TVs. I gave this TV a shot and honestly it has not let me down. You can get apps like youtube, Netflix, hbo go and others. My only real complain is that the remote is the one that comes with the Roku. The only real problem with that is when I'm watching cable. Channel surfing becomes a lot slower because there's no digits to click in. Besides the remote, great buy.

Thank you for the great feedback on the television. I love the Roku interface as well, apps and actions are snappy and quick to respond. The method of changing broadcast channels or cable channels without a box is a bit different, but there are a couple of tips I’ll give you. First, you can hide any channels you don’t actively use to make it easier to get to channels you enjoy regularly. Next, when on the Antenna input, simply press the left arrow button to open up the channel list; you can then arrow through channels and press OK to select the station you’d like to change to. I am going to provide your feedback to our engineering team, however. Thanks again for taking the time to share! –Jason, Insignia Products BBY-ExBrand_Insignia

I really like this tv for the price I paid , it's very easy to operate, I have 6 roku devices, so that help me in my decision to purchase this tv, the only issue I find is the remote , you don't have the ability to choose your channels, you have to go through each channel, I tried my iPhone as well as a universal remote and still no resolve , other than that I have enjoyed this set.

These tv's make life easy. No more switching inputs. The controller has quick launches. The only downfall is the 60hz refresh. Both of my boys have the 40" version of this same model in their rooms. For the price, you really can't complain.
