Great television for the price and being a "smart" tv! Picture is perfect and I have received compliments regarding the clarity of the picture as well as color. Only thing I would do different would be to move up from the 60 GHz refresh rate to 120 for better keeping up with fast movements. Very good tv for the price though and I give it five stars.

Very clear and very happy with my purchase for the price! Having a couple issues right now with the tv cutting off, but insignia provider was very quick with offering support and are coming to look at the tv this weekend. SO happy I went with the smart TV as well. Very easy to maneuver back and forth, and seems to be less hassle then having a regular tv with apple tv, etc.

We purchased this television to facilitate our escape from our cable bill, and it hasn't disappointed so far. It was affordable, and there is nothing wrong with the quality of the picture and sound, or the ease of operation. The only reason I'm not giving this television five stars is we haven't had enough time to really get to know each other yet.

We would definitely recommend this tv! We bought the 55" for the living room and will go back to get the same tv but a little smaller to put in the living room! We absolutely love the picture and sound! Having everything already on your tv is amazing! We no longer need to have a video game system to just watch Netflix.

I was looking to upgrade my old TV. I wanted a smart TV and was replacing my old Insignia with this larger screen model. Having the built in Roku was a plus for me because I already own a Roku streaming stick and will now keep it attached to my bedroom TV. The setup was very easy and I was watching my new TV in no time. The picture quality is great for the price, and the sound isn't too bad either, but I have the TV hooked up to my surround sound. The only minor issue for me is the placement of the volume buttons on the side of the remote. I am always hitting them when I press the power button. If you are looking for a decent TV at a good price, then this Insignia 55" Roku smart TV is a great choice!

From the moment the television was connected, it was amazing! The picture quality is great. Easily installed and extremely easy to function. The whole family uses the television with ease.

Picture is very good and connected to WIFI easily. I remote is very basic with limited options. I haven't found a sleep timer or any of the other niceties I have gotten used to from other TV remotes. The TV also has basic function. Not many picture modes (vivid, sports) and sound options but overall the pictures is very good. I am disappointed with the ROKU function. Basically all the apps require a cable package to signin for use which sort of defeats the "cut the cord" idea. I did a little research on the internet on Roku apps that I would interest my parents but when we bought the tv all those apps were not longer available, removed, or just nothing when downloaded. If you want to be cable free I do not believe ROKU is the best answer. If anyone can send any ideas to improve the cutting the cord function then please let me know.

I just love This Television first time I brought this brand. I must say the sound and picture quality is Great!! Easy setup menu functions where detailed and the price was Great!!

We bought this TV to replace a 780 rear projection TV that died. So of course there is a tremendous improvement in image. We were looking for a "Smart TV" so we would not have to use an HDMI port. This was our first experience with ROKU and it exceeded our expectations. We have a Slingbox in our primary home and ROKU has a built in Sling App that allows us to watch TV using our other home's cable box. In addition we are Netflix subscribers and this was a seamless install. I agree with some of the other reviews that it is unfortunate that there is not an option for a wired Internet connection. I also wish that there was an RGB connection because I had connected an old computer to the previous TV and used the TV as a "monitor" when we planned trips. This is not an energy efficient device, but the TV is used infrequently so electrical costs did not figure into our computations. The remote is quite simple to use and setup was straightforward. We did not connect the TV to a separate sound system, but found the built in audio to be satisfactory.

I needed to replace a Samsung DLP TV that I had for about 7 years. During that time it was in the shop for very costly repairs twice so when it died a third time I decided it was time for it to go. I got the Insignia for about the same as the estimated cost of repair for the Samsung and I am very happy with it. I've had it for about a month now and the picture quality and brightness is great and it works perfectly with the home theater system I had for my old TV. The internal speakers aren't very loud which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 but with the addition of a sound bar it is a great system.

I needed to get the best tv for my money that I could find, and this one fit the bill. The built in roku is worth the extra few bucks (cheaper than buying it separately later). The picture is great and we've been very happy so far. Had it only a few months, but so far so good.

This tv was a replacement for the old insignia that burned out on one side. This tv has a sharp picture and great sound quality. It has a built in Roku which is awesome for streaming services and music. I would recommend this tv to anyone who needed a lower priced good tv

This TV has Roku built in. While Roku doesn't support all formats, adding Plex is simple and takes care of that issue. Having access to YouTube is wonderful as well. Very simply to set up

I bought this tv on a Thanksgiving special deal online. Did not see it in person, but looked like everything we were looking for. Love the big screen and the picture is beautiful. Only downfall would be if our internet connection is slow, the tv is slow to load.

We are so happy with this 55" TV. The picture is great and the apps are super! My 4 year old instinctively knows how to operate the remote control, manuevering to the kids apps she likes. We don't need a speaker. The volume works for us.

I have a currently working 8 year old Sony 720p flat screen LCD which I used to compare side by side with the Roku Insignia 55". Here's what I found. When it comes to colors, shades of red, yellow, and ocean blue are a bit off. There's a hint of blue in the red. You can see this example on the VW Jetta Christmas commercial featuring a red car. Also look at the Buffalo Bills red uniforms. The Tivo DVR's menu yellow text that says "My Shows" look greenish. The Tivo circular record light looks bluish red. The Netflix opening red screen is another example. Additionally, certain shades of yellow can have a hint of green in them. Example would be the Green Bay Packers colors. Lastly, look at ocean colors. This is one of the best color accuracy tests. On this set, the ocean leans towards an unnatural blue hue, not real life greenish blue. When it comes to sound, note that the optical out does not output 5.1 audio even if you're on Netflix streaming a 5.1 movie. I found this out when I connected the optical cable to my Onkyo receiver and it showed Pro Logic II only. As far as motion blur, I watched a half dozen football games and didn't notice anything that stood out. Everything seems acceptable when it comes to motion. The colors wash out and look off hue when watching from an angle and not at eye level. Like most low to mid line LED TVs, you need to be right in the center which is very unfortunate. Will be taking back before the short 15 day return period ends.

Bought This tv because my sister has it and said it was good. I would have to agree with her. Tv has a great picture, ok sound, and I love that it is a smart tv so I can watch my streaming channels on the tv and don't have to use my xbox unnecessarily.

We purchased this TV for our front room. We love the built-in Roku features. The picture is pretty good (videophiles may disagree, but it's good enough for us). The sound is not very good. When the TV is the audio source (using the Roku features), the sound is fine, but when an external device (like a computer, or blue-ray player) is the source, the sound volume is very inconsistent and you have to continually change the volume up and down to be able to hear or not have it be too loud.

Very good TV for at that price(I got it for $350 on Black Friday). Roku works pretty good as well. Definitely a buy if you are looking for a smart tv in that price range.

Love this tv, smart tv's are apart of the future. So much you can do with it and in a world where most people don't want to pay for cable anymore, watching your shows on the tv apps is easy and painless. Would buy again.
