Ask most sound people and they will not necessarily agree as the quote is correct...because of the way the 'line' voltages are produced between true "line voltage' and headphone "line' voltages you might not get the best sound quality from the headphone output to your amp's real 'line volage' input. Thus the qualifying statement...."Your results will vary".
