No software needed. Plug into mic and it should work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Software: yes! Driver update for soundcard with an actual input slot for 3.5 mini on this cable. Additionally, some kind of sound / music editor to split, clean and enhance the audio input or the tracks will be incoherent run-on messes. I have personally gone through this process about ten years ago. Hmm, come to think of it, unless these tape have unique songs / recordings on them, I would skip this process altogether and simply download each song in its digital form.
