I didn't need an adapter to connect from my 2013 MacBook Air to a HP external display ...it worked straight away. It is possible that your Mac is driving your display at a setting higher than it's capable of, so you might want to see if you can start with lower settings and see if that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You shouldn't need an adapter. I recently used this cable to connect a Macbook Air to an LG TV with no adapter. You might go into your display settings to make sure your laptop is recognizing the other monitor (in this case your TV). Try mirroring your display.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You shouldn't need an adapter as long as your mac has a lightening port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are having problems, it will not be caused by the cable - unless the cable is defective of course.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Does your TV give you a message that shows it recognizes the cable? If you have a menu that selects the source of the signal, check that without having the computer end connected. If it recognizes the cable but gets no signal, then the next step is to plug in the mini end into your computer. An additional adapter might degrade the signal too much, so get a cable that has the proper ends to go direct from TV to computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I suppose thats one for the Geeks but my TV is older and it works beautifully. Even bluetoothed my soundbar so I wouldn't have to sit right on my MAC! LOL
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to go into your settings and switch your visual and audio over to read your television. Once you do that you will be able to use the television as a secondary monitor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The age of the tv shouldn't matter if it has the HDMI input, check the display settings on your Mac.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should work not sure why you are having problems. It could be the age of tv, have you check to see if the tv hdmi port is working using another device. Also maybe the cable is defective. Take your mac and cable into the store and try it out on one of their tvs
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You shouldn't need any other adapters. It is possible that the TV is the issue due to it's age, but I can't be sure. It could also be a setting in your Mac's display setting.
